Hopefully, lessons will be a great fit, but after the free introductory lesson, you only ever have to commit to one month at a time.

ABOUT
Meet your teacher
Dr. Jacob Taylor currently teaches a studio of nine organ and piano students. He is the Adjunct Applied Lesson Instructor of organ at Taylor University and is the Assistant Organist and Choir Director at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Indianapolis, IN, where he assists with the intergenerational choir and choir school program. He has taught music theory and aural skills as an associate instructor at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and as a teaching assistant at the Eastman School of Music. He currently trains the choristers of St. Paul’s in ear training, music fundamentals, and liturgical knowledge, following the model of the Royal School of Church Music training program Voice for Life.
Jacob holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, where he studied organ with David Higgs. He holds a master’s degree in organ from Indiana University (Bloomington) and a bachelor’s degree in organ from Wheaton College (IL). He currently serves as the dean of the Indianapolis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
